ACL 2013
CALL FOR PAPERS
The 51st Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics Sofia, Bulgaria, August 4-9
The Association for Computational Linguistics is pleased to announce that its 2013 Annual Meeting will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on August 4th to 9th.
The conference invites the submission of long and short papers on substantial, original, and unpublished research in all aspects of automated language processing, as discussed below. As already done last year, ACL 2013 will accept papers accompanied by the resource (software or data) described in the paper. In addition to the regular review of the research quality of the paper, these papers will also be reviewed for the quality of the resource that is being made available. Papers that are submitted with accompanying software/data will receive additional credit toward the overall evaluation score, and acceptance or rejection decision will be made based on the quality of both the research and the software/data component. In addition, this year there will be an important novelty: some of the presentations at the conference will be of papers accepted for the new Transactions of the ACL journal (http://www.transacl.org/).

CALL FOR PAPERS
The IJCAI 2013 Program Committee invites submissions of technical papers for IJCAI 2013, to be held in Beijing, China, on August 3-9, 2013. Submissions are invited on significant, original, and previously unpublished research on all aspects of artificial intelligence.
The theme of IJCAI 2013 is "AI and computational sustainability". AI can play a key role in addressing environmental, economic, and societal challenges concerning sustainable development and a sustainable future. AI techniques and methodologies can be exploited to help address sustainability problems and questions, for example to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the way we manage and allocate our natural and societal resources. The study of sustainability questions will also enrich and transform AI, by providing new challenges. The conference will include a special track dedicated to papers concerned with all these aspects (see below the call for paper for this track).

汉语词汇语义学研讨会 (Chinese Lexical Semantic Workshop，简称CLSW) 由台湾中央研究院郑锦全院士、北京大学俞士汶教授与香港理工大学黄居仁教授等共同倡办。自2000年起，连续13载，先后在香港、北京、台北、新加坡、厦门、新竹、烟台、苏州、武汉等地举行。CLSW 是汉语词汇语义学和相关领域（如理论语言学, 应用语言学、计算语言学和词典计算机辅助编纂等）的重要学术会议，已形成系列，并产生广泛的影响，推动了本领域的学术研究和应用开发。
第十四届词汇语义研讨会(CLSW2013) 将于2013年在中国河南省郑州市郑州大学举行。CLSW2013竭诚邀请您赐稿。会议将推荐优秀论文发表至《中文信息学报》等期刊，会后英文论文集将由Springer(LNAI)出版，并被EI检索。相关信息如下：

三、 征文范围
CLSW2013研讨会所涉及的主题包括汉语词汇语义学的理论、方法、计算及其应用，征集在汉语词汇语义学方面有较好原创性研究成果且未曾公开发表的论文，具体包括但不限于以下所列的研究领域：
- 词汇语义学各方面、各领域的最新进展。比如：义项、义位、义原、概念分类体系、语义特征、语义网、汉外词汇对比、词汇语义与句法语义的关系等；
- 语料库的建设及语义标注的理论、技术、工具、方法、规范等；
- 汉语各类词汇基础资源（辞书、义类词典、知识本体等）的建设， 比如综合型语言知识库CLKB、知网等 ；
- 汉语词汇语义的表示、计算和推理机制；
- 汉语词汇语义学在自然语言处理方面的应用，包括信息提取、信息检索、问答系统、机器翻译、辞典编纂等领域；
- 汉语词汇语义学的新方法，包括机器学习、演化计算、神经网络等方面研究。

Based on the success of seven previous AIRS conferences, the AIRS'2012 will be offering great experience for participants from all over the world. The Asia Information Retrieval Societies Conference (AIRS) aims to bring together researchers and developers to exchange new ideas and latest progress in the field of information retrieval (IR). The scope of the conference covers applications, systems, technologies and theory aspects of information retrieval in text and multimedia data. The AIRS 2012 welcomes submissions of original papers in the broad field of information retrieval. We particularly welcome papers on IR for Asian languages.
This year, over 50 related papers from all over the world will be presented in the conference. The term of the current editor of the ACM Transactions on Asian Language Information Processing (TALIP), will end soon. A search committee has been formed to identify candidates for Editor-in-Chief and to recommend the most suitable one to the ACM Publications Board.

The Position

Qualifications
Candidates should be well-established researchers in areas related to computational linguistics, information retrieval and NLP ap plications for Asian languages, broadly conceived, and should have sufficient experience serving on conference program committees and journal editorial boards.

To nominate a colleague, send a summary of candidate's relevant research contributions and editorial qualifications. The committee accepts self-nominations, which should include a current curriculum vita and a brief (one page) statement of the candidate's vision for TALIP.
